Security cameras are often discussed in isolation of the dvr system they will be integrated into. In many cases cameras do not perform optimally because the man dvr system is unsuitable for the application and yet the camera often carries the blame for the poor performance.
It is essential when designing the dvr surveillance system that the overall application is clearly defined and all elements of the system are chosen with that objective in mind.
